You'd think it's spring in Texas!

We don't really get a mild spring in Texas. But the flowers are blooming and that's enough for me!

April in Paris

A belated post from April. It was quite the month with a whirlwind trip to both Paris and Pittsburgh. What do these have in common, you ask? Why, the Boo's of course!

It's the name of the make believe show my BFF Pam101 and I made up that stars yours truly, the most obnoxious and fun-loving couple that ever were allowed to be friends :).

For Pam and I, it was love at first site. We talk everyday despite being thousands of miles away. We joke that we travelled to Paris just to see each other. And it is true! We could have been anywhere, laughing at our inside jokes (they really are funny). But where and when better than April in Paris.

Day 1: Notre Dame and the Louvre; Boo tries to convince me to read 50 Shades of Gray while I'm having a moment in the cathedral.

Day 1: We find refuge from the rain in this wisteria covered gem. Classic moment for the Boo's. We had wine, cheese and lots of laughs.

Day 2: Another rainy day in Paris leads us to Musee D' Orsay, Pam's favorite museum in Paris. Droves of us meandered this awesome train station-converted-museum, which houses the largest impressionist collection in the world.

Day 2: We hopped on a train to Versailles where I pretended to have a picnic with Marie Antoinette. This was my favorite part of Paris.

Day 3: Did I mention it was raining? After hiding under an awning with our coffee and croissants, we walked through the streets of Marais and took a food tour of the Belly of Paris, Les Halles. Check out Pam101's post for a recap.

Day 4: Tired and wet, we finally make it over to the Tour de Eiffel for a magical crepe and even more magical moment when the tower lit up! We had been trying to catch this for days, and it happend as our crepes were falling apart on us. We screamed like giddy school girls.

Day 4: With no time left, we drove by Arc D' Triumph for a glimpse of Napoleon's erection...of a monument.

Taking the Little Guy Out for a Spin

First camping trip in our teardrop. We love it so far! Need to hammer out a few kinks (mainly we don't know how to operate a few things 100 percent).

Down to Lake Somerville we went. Dax went fossil hunting and Cruz and I enjoyed the camp grounds, biking, playing at the fish pond and swimming in the lake.

Couldn't ask for anything more!

Am I "knot" cute?

Cruz woke up this morning, I kid you not, with his finger stuck in his hair. Who knows how long the finger had been there? All we know is that it was red and a teeny bit swollen.

The fact that the boy is a major hair twirler and we were so reluctant (at least I was) to cut his already sparing thin hair was the perfect recipe for a matted mess.

Alas, we were forced to cut off his favorite lovey once and for all.

(Cruz's really into asking questions this way lately. "Are we not going home?" "Is this not my millennium falcon?" hence the title of this post.)

Home Sick

The boys were home with me today because Cruz had a fever again. I loved this chance to spend quality time with them, just us...and of course Star Wars.

Paleo Schmaleo

So, after a few months of Paleo, I'm back to my sugar-laden diet of breads and butter (thank you, Paris). Tonight I whipped up these brownies from scratch, all from stuff I had around the kitchen. Thankfully, I had some coconut oil leftover and used that instead of veggie oil, adding a pleasant richness to my treat.

Ugh! Boys...

He must do this to get under my skin. Little does he know, I love his stinky patas as much as he does. :)

Road Trippin'

We are one step closer to hitting' the road this summer. After months of searching, we picked up this awesome teardrop trailer for our trip to Wyoming. It's the perfect size for our perfect little family. Cruz was thrilled!
